A civil funeral, conducted by an Independent Civil Celebrant, offers a legal alternative to a religious service conducted following traditional doctrine. Reflecting the beliefs of the deceased and their family, a civil funeral can be totally non religious or it can include some religious elements, perhaps a prayer, a hymn or a reading. I will discuss with you what you would like to include in the service, and together we will create a service as unique as the person whose life we are remembering and celebrating.
I will meet with you and any other family members or friends that you wish to be present, so that I can collect all the information and memories that I will need to write a eulogy and the service. I am happy for you to contact me with questions and ideas and changes as they occur to you, discuss them with you, and incorporate agreed items. I will send you a draft copy of the service for you to read and make any changes and additions that you wish. I will then prepare the final draft for your approval.
I will conduct your service in the location of your choice. I am happy to write and conduct the entire service, or step aside as required for family members or friends who you wish to deliver readings, tributes or a eulogy.
I work closely with your chosen Funeral Director throughout so that together we will ensure a professional and personal service.
