A civil ceremony conducted by an Independent Civil Celebrant is a perfect choice for you if you want to break free from the restrictions of a traditional ceremony, want to choose where you would like the ceremony to be held, and you want to include a mixture of religious and secular elements in your ceremony. A favourite hymn or piece of religious music, a prayer, a blessing or a reading are all options for a civil ceremony.
Once you have contacted me I like first of all to arrange for us to have an informal chat, either face to face or by phone or skype, so that we can get to know each other a little and discuss your ideas for the ceremony that you want to have.
If you decide that you would like me to be your celebrant, then you would need to make a non-refundable deposit of £100 to secure the date. On receipt of the deposit, I will send you a ceremony planner to complete, along with some ceremony ideas and readings. Once you return the completed planner I can begin to prepare the script for you.
I am happy for you to contact me with questions and ideas and changes as they occur to you, discuss them with you, and incorporate agreed items.
When I have completed the draft script, I will require a further non-refundable stage payment of £100. On receipt of that payment, I will forward the script to you for approval or ammendment. I will redraft the script if necessary, and then return it to you for final approval.
The final balance will be payable two weeks prior to the date of the ceremony.
We will arrange a rehearsal if you would like one, a day or two before, or possibly earlier on the day of the ceremony. As we run through everything I can answer any final questions you may have.
On the day of the ceremony, I will aim to arrive an hour before the planned ceremony start time. I only book one ceremony a day, so I am there for you for as long as you need me to be.
A non-refunable £100 deposit is required to secure the date. A further non-refundable payment of £100 is payable before the draft script is sent to you. The balance is due 2 weeks before the ceremony date.
I am happy to travel throughout the British Isles and overseas to conduct your ceremony, but additional mileage and or appropriate travel costs and accommodation costs would apply.
